It’s not surprising the Iranians are less than keen on the BBC’s farsi service

So the BBC is launching a farsi (persian) language service in Iran. Chances are it will be quite succesful, it’s being said. It’s hardly surprising the Iranian government is a little sceptical of it. 15m pounds of foreign office money have gone into it already, so it’ll be very easy to call the BBC stooges of the dear old British government. Protest we might the innocence and non-partisan nature of the BBC, but you can see how it looks from Tehran…
